Amplified Sound Requests

Request Review

All requests for Amplified Sound are reviewed by Student Involvement & Engagement - Operations and Assessments (SI&E). SI&E, when applicable, will consult with the appropriate venue or coordinating department regarding requests.

Important Information

  • Major disruption and/or unaddressed complaints may be cause for early termination of the event.
  • Additional regulations may apply and require review.
  • The university may grant exceptions to these provisions.

Request Timeline

  • Requests can be submitted as early as 30 days from the request date.
  • Requests must be submitted at least 10 days before the requested date.
  • Amplified Sound are not allowed on weekends, holidays, university closures, Energy Conservation Days, and during the last two weeks of the semester. Visit: Holidays & Conservation Days.

Mazevo Reservation System

Requests related to outdoor spaces managed by LBJ Student Center - Event Services will be reviewed and processed via Mazevo Reservation System.

San Marcos

  • Outdoor space: The Mall

Bobcat Organization Hub

Requests in all other spaces that are NOT managed by LBJ Student Center - Event Services will be reviewed and processed via Bobcat Organization Hub.

  • Meadows Center for Water and the Environment: Head Water, Rooftop, Spring Lake Hall, South Lawn, and Sycamore Point

    Location and Physical Address:
    The LBJ Student Center Amphitheater is located on the ground floor and external side of LBJ Student Center.

    Outdoor Reservations Requests for LBJSC Amphitheater and Patio are managed by LBJ Student Center Event Services.

    Requests are reviewed and approved by Student Involvement and Engagement in consultation with LBJSC Event Services.

The Mall

    May be allowed with approval and as part of an approved Outdoor Space Reservation.

    • Monday to Friday
    • 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
    • 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

    Location:
    The Mall is located between LBJ Student Center and Alkek Library. The space includes one electrical power source location. 

    University Department Responsible for Reservations:
    Outdoor Reservation Requests for The Mall are managed by LBJ Student Center Event Services.

    Requests are reviewed and approved by Student Involvement and Engagement in consultation with LBJSC Event Services.

Sewell Park

    • 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM

    Location: 
    Sewell Park is located near the intersection of Aquarena Springs Drive and Sessoms Drive. The University Events Center/Strahan Coliseum and Jowers Center are located adjacent to Sewell Park. Outdoor Center is located at Sewell Park. 

    University Department Responsible for Reservations and Approval:
    Outdoor Reservation Requests for Sewell Park are managed by Outdoor Center at Sewell Park - Campus Recreation.

    Requests are reviewed and approved by Student Involvement and Engagement in consultation with Outdoor Recreation Center at Sewell Park.

Meadows Center

    May be allowed with approval and as part of an approved Special Event Reservation Request.

    Location: 
    The Head Water, Rooftop, Spring Lake Hall, South Lawn, and Sycamore Point are located on-site at The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment.

Round Rock Campus
