Bobcats LEAD
Bobcats LEAD is a hands-on leadership development experience designed for Texas State students looking to build practical skills and meaningful connections. Participants take part in an overnight retreat, casual peer-to-peer leadership education, and co-develop a “final project” that showcases their leadership skills. This journey fosters teamwork, critical thinking, self-reflection, and prepares you to lead meaningfully both on campus and beyond.

LBJ Presidential Library & Museum Trip
In collaboration with LBJ Presidential Library, 25 student leaders are selected each year to visit the national museum. The trip honors the life and legacy of Texas State's distinguished alumna, President Lyndon B. Johnson, and his impact on American politics. This is a meaningful opportunity to connect with history, reflect on public service, and grow as a community-minded leader.

The Leadership & Service Council serves as the face and student voice of the Leadership & Service area and student workers within Student Involvement and Engagement. Council members play an active role in planning, outreach, and supporting leadership development and community service programs or initiatives for students.

Texas Leadership Scholars Program
Offered through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), this statewide, premiere leadership program connects high-achieving, lower-income Texas students with peer mentorship, leadership development, and professional development opportunities - all with the goal of keeping students in Texas to pursue their higher education. This program is solely for students who have applied, been accepted, and received this scholarship while still in high school.
