Students at Texas State University can create a new student organization at any time! 

NEW ORGANIZATION REGISTRATION STEPS

STEP 1: SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

The student who will serve as the president should complete the Student Organization Application.

  • Go to the Bobcat Organization Hub and use your TXST login to access
  • Click the three lines in the upper left-hand corner to open the navigation menu
  • Select “Organizations”
  • Click the blue button that says “Register a New Organization”
    • Create your organization's profile
    • Ensure you have all four officers listed: Advisor, President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Names and TXST NetID@txstate.edu emails will be required.
    • Have your advisor complete the Advisor Acknowledgement Form. Upload the completed form to your registration.
    • Submit a constitution.
    • OPTIONAL: Sign up for our Student Involvement Fair taking place this Fall.
  • When finished, click “Submit”

STEP 2: COMPLETE RISK MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Risk Management Training is state-mandated and required for all registered student organizations. ONE officer and ONE advisor are required to complete this training annually.

  • Log into the Bobcat Organization Hub using your TXST login
  • Click “Events” and search for “RSO Risk Management Training”
  • Select the date you wish to attend and RSVP.

FALL 2024 DATES:
In-person and virtual training sessions will take place on the following dates.

  • Monday, September 9th, 2024 from 5:00pm-6:30pm in LBJ Student Center 3-14.1
  • Friday, September 13th, 2024 from 9:30am-11:00am via Zoom
  • Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 from 5:00pm-6:30pm in LBJ Student Center 3-14.1
  • Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 from 5:00pm-6:30pm in LBJ Student Center 3-14.1
  • Thursday, September 26th, 2024 from 5:00pm-6:30pm in LBJ Student Center 3-14.1
  • Monday, September 30th, 2024 from 1:30pm-3:00pm via Zoom

SPRING 2025 DATES:

  • Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 from 12:30pm-2:00pm via Zoom
  • Friday, February 7th, 2025 from 12:00pm-1:30pm via Zoom
  • Monday, February 10th, 2025 from 3:00pm-4:30pm via Zoom
  • Thursday, February 13th, 2025 from 9:00am-10:30pm via Zoom

The attending officer is REQUIRED to present the Risk Management Training to their organization and will complete the Risk Management Organization Presentation Form on the Bobcat Organization Hub.
