Make Your Impact

Service Saturdays are one-day service projects that are planned throughout the academic year by the Leadership and Service team or the university. Taking place one Saturday a month, students can sign up to participate in a Service Saturday to engage in volunteer projects that benefit students and the communities we serve. View our projects below to find the best fit for you and sign up!

Service Saturday Schedule

Service Saturday projects typically begin at 9:00am with check-in prior to service. Check-in locations vary by project but will always be on campus. Light breakfast is provided to volunteers each project. Transportation is also provided to select project sites, but volunteers are able to drive themselves or others if preferred. All students will do service from 10:00am to 1:00pm and are invited back to campus where lunch will be provided as a “Thank You” for your time and participation.

Choose Where You Serve

Each project offers a variety of sites to choose from---which means you have the ability to choose your preferred site when you register on the Bobcat Organization Hub! Do note that while we do our best to assign you to the site of your choice, we do not guarantee first choice. Site capacity is pre-determined based on our site partner's ability to accommodate.

If you would like to serve as a group, all group members must sign up individually. In addition, we will not reserve sites or hold spots for a group.

  Welcome to Texas State, Bobcats! Join us for the First Year Service Project—the kickoff to our monthly Service Saturday series and a signature part of Bobcat Welcome Week.
  Spend the day giving back to the San Marcos community, meet new friends, and learn more about how you can make an impact through Leadership & Service. No experience needed—just bring your passion and a willingness to give back!

  There's always time to get involved and what better way than through service? Whether you're new to campus or settling back into the semester, join us as we serve our neighbors across the San Marcos community. Low pressure, high impact - and a meaningful way to step off campus!

  Join us for the Fall Service Project, a special edition of our Service Saturday series in collaboration with Fraternity & Sorority Life! Spend the day giving back to the Hays community while connecting with members of TXST's vibrant fraternity and sorority chapters.
  Whether you're involved in Fraternity & Sorority Life, or interested in learning more, this is a great chance to serve alongside fellow students, build community, and experience the values of leadership, service, and friendship in action.

  'Tis the season of giving! Join us for a heartwarming day of service where Bobcats come together to support our San Marcos neighbors during the season of giving.
  With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it's the perfect time to pause, lend a helping hand, and show what it means to be part of a caring campus community. Whether you're seasoned or just getting started, all students are welcome to participate.

- Bobcat Build's Big Event
  
  Close off the year by being part of the largest service project on campus and one of Texas State's well-recognized traditions---Bobcat Build's Big Event! Hosted by Leadership & Service, this annual day of service serves as an opportunity for Bobcats to come together and donate their time to engage in various service projects throughout the community as our way of giving a big “Thank You” to our neighbors across Hays County.
