Steps for Starting a New Organization
All new student organizations must first complete the following three steps to form a registered student organization.
The student who will serve as the president or primary contact for the new organization should complete each step in the order listed below.
Step 1: Submit a New Student Organization Application
- Go to the Bobcat Organization Hub and use your TXST login to access
- Click the three lines in the upper left-hand corner to open the navigation menu
- Select “Organizations”
- Click the blue button that says “Register a New Organization”
- Create your organization's profile
- Ensure you have all four officers listed: Advisor, President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Names and TXST NetID emails will be required.
- Have your advisor complete the Advisor Agreement form. Upload the completed form to your registration.
- Submit a constitution. View the constitution guidelines and template for assistance.
- OPTIONAL: Sign up for our Student Involvement Fair taking place this Fall.
- When finished, click “Submit”.
Step 2: Complete Required Risk Management Training
This training must be completed by Monday, September 30, 2024 by 5:00 PM.
This training is state-mandated and is required for all registered student organizations. ONE officer and ONE advisor are required to complete this training annually. Both in-person and virtual trainings will be offered.
- Log into the Bobcat Organization Hub using your TXST login
- Click “Events” and search for “RSO Risk Management Training”
- Select the date you wish to attend and RSVP.
In-person training sessions will take place on the following dates. Virtual options will be provided.

Location: LBJ Student Center 323 (3-14.1)

The attending officer is REQUIRED to present the Risk Management Training to their organization and will complete the Risk Management Organization Presentation Form on the Bobcat Organization Hub.
