Who can attend River Fest?
The festival was created as a student-focused event for Texas State University students. Only currently enrolled Texas State University students can attend this event.
We encourage all TXST supporters including alumni, San Marcos and local community members, faculty and staff, and any non-TXST affiliated persons to participate in future or other opportunities at Texas State University.

Will the San Marcos River be impacted by the River Fest?
The San Marcos River is a point of pride for Bobcats everywhere. We are taking the necessary precautions to ensure guest will not negatively impact the river. We will monitor and collect trash or debris found on or near river.
Entrance from river will not be restricted.

How is Texas State University going to make sure attendees are safe?
Texas State University prioritizes the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff.

Is a First-Aid Tent available?
A first-aid tent staffed by trained personnel and stand-by ambulance service will be present to manage any issue for the entire duration of festival.

Will University Police Department be present for festival?
Yes - Texas State University Police Department, along with security personnel, will be present at all entry points of entry and located around the festival.
All alcohol and drug laws will be strictly enforced by security and University Police Department.
