The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) serves as the governing council for the nine historically black-founded fraternities and sororities collectively known as the Divine Nine. 

The NPHC supports collaborative programming, community engagement, advocacy initiatives, and partnerships that uplift communities across the United States and abroad. 

They are guided by unity and purpose and remain committed to strengthening lives, honoring our legacy, and empowering future generations.

How to Get Involved

Recruitment Guidelines

To participate in the intake process, interested students must:

  • Have at least 12 college credit hours
  • Be currently in good academic standing
  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA

We encourage students to follow chapters on social media to keep up to date on events and announcements. 

TXST Hump Nights

Building Connections & Community with the Divine Nine

Hump Day showcases historically Black sororities' and fraternities', the Divine Nine, traditions of strolling. It is held twice a semester and is open to all TXST students to learn about the culture behind Hump Day and the tradition of “strolling” to music.
