Black History Month is celebrated annually in the United States from February 1 to February 28. This month is a time to recognize, celebrate, and honor the contributions, achievements, and legacy of Blacks/African people in the United States. Equally important, this is a time to raise awareness about the experiences and needs of Blacks/ African people. While Black History Month is celebrated in the month of February, Black History is an ongoing development advanced throughout the African diaspora every day.
